J710

HISTORICAL NOTE: Engineered to be the new computer for business professionals and home-office workers, the slimline J710 was shown to great response at MacWorld Expo San Francisco in January, 1998, with an intended ship date in March -- but ultimately was never sold to the public, making it about as rare as a 1957 Volvo P1900. A 250MHz G3 version was already planned for later in '98, and many of the few dozen units which were sold to employees came with G3's ranging from 200 to 275MHz. The J710 is included here as a museum piece for the sake of completeness.

The SuperMac J710 packs the performance of a PowerPC 604e into a terrifically priced slim desktop box. With features like an upgradeable processor, L2 cache, and video memory, along with thoughtful extras like 10/100 ethernet, UltraWide SCSI-3, and multimedia speakers, the J710 is the perfect computer for content creators at work or home!
